Art Deco Set of Six Airbrushed Ceramic Cups by Carraresi & Lucchesi, 1930s

Art Deco set of 6 airbrushed ceramic cups, made by Carraresi & Lucchesi Sesto Fiorentino in the 1930s. There are some signs of age; additional photos/information are available on request.

Plate - Ø 15 cm

Founded by Virgilio Carraresi and Daniele Lucchesi, the manufactory developed a range of artistic ceramics, tableware, and decorative objects characterized by a modern style, close to the Art Deco and Novecento aesthetic. Geometric forms, airbrush decorations, and intense colors became some of the distinctive features of its production.

The set features a warm two-tone palette of orange and brown, with geometric color blocks and original shaped, pierced handles, accented with dark details. The combination of clean forms and graphic decoration fully captures the taste of Italian ceramics from the late 1930s to the early 1940s.

An interesting example of the vibrant era of Sesto Fiorentino ceramics, where artisanal tradition and new expressions of Italian design meet.
