Alessandro Mendini from the end of the 70s was among the renovators of Italian design. He worked for numerous companies such as Alessi, Venini, Bisazza, Cartier, Hermes, Sumpreme NYC, Swatch, Swarovski and many more. He has received numerous international awards, including the Compasso D'Oro Italian industrial design award in 1979; in 1981 together with Alchemy study and in 2014 for his life's work. He directed many architecture magazines including Domus, Casabella and Modo founded by himself.
