Giuseppe Palanti was a renowned Italian artist, illustrator and urban planner, born in Milan in 1881 and died there in 1946. He is best known for his portraits, particularly those of Mussolini and Pius La Scala Theater in Milan. He also played a significant role in the development of the seaside resort of Milano Marittima.

Palanti was a prolific artist, creating illustrations for magazines, advertising material and book covers. His work often depicted the glamorous lifestyle of the Italian bourgeoisie.
He has collaborated with Teatro alla Scala for many years, designing sets and costumes for opera productions. His work was characterized by its elegance and attention to detail.
Palanti was involved in the development of Milano Marittima, a popular seaside resort on the Adriatic coast. He designed the city's layout, architecture and public spaces. Portraits: Palanti's portraits of Mussolini and Pius XI were widely distributed and helped consolidate their public image. His works reflect the artistic and cultural trends of his time and continue to be admired for their beauty, skill and historical importance.
