Born in Buenos Aires in 1908 and died in Spilimbergo in 1975, Adriano Spilimbergo was a leading figure of the Italian artistic movement of the twentieth century. He attended the Brera Academy in Milan and his work is closely linked to the "Chiarismo" movement, characterized by a luminous palette and a search for intense light.
His works are characterized by intense light and brilliant colours, which create luminous and almost material atmospheres. His favorite subjects were landscapes, portraits and still lifes.
Spilimbergo has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, helping to spread the Chiarismo movement in Italy and abroad.
