Archimede Seguso was a renowned Italian entrepreneur and master glassmaker, considered a giant in his field.  He was born on December 17, 1909 in Murano, Venice and died on September 6, 1999 in Murano, Venice

Dubbed "a living glass encyclopedia" for his vast knowledge, Seguso is credited with shaping the art of Venetian glass in the 20th century. The master glassmaker excelled at working with solid glass, i.e. thick, solid pieces of glass.

He has collaborated with renowned designers and artists throughout his career. An example is his collaboration with Giuseppe Santomaso on a series of colored handles for telephone booths in 1952. He also collaborated for a long time with Tiffany & Co., creating iconic collections for the brand.

Seguso Vetri d'Arte is a renowned Murano glass furnace founded in 1933 by the Seguso family, who have been creating fine glass pieces for generations. The company is known for its innovative design, exquisite workmanship and use of high-quality materials.

Seguso Vetri d'Arte pieces are highly sought after by collectors and art enthusiasts around the world. They are often featured in museums and galleries and can fetch high prices at auctions.  Their pieces feature bold colors, intricate designs, and unique decorative techniques.
