Manifattura Dogale di Murano perfectly embodies the concept of “Venetian luxury” applied to tableware and furnishings. Unlike large industrial factories, this manufacturer has distinguished itself through a more niche production, focused on an elegance that could be described as modern Neoclassical. The name explicitly recalls the era of the Doges, and the production reflects this nobility. The forms are never excessively abstract or extravagant; they follow clean, symmetrical, and harmonious lines. The designs draw on 18th-century Venetian models, stripping away their Baroque excesses to make them suitable for contemporary interiors. Manifattura Dogale is renowned for certain specialized techniques that make its pieces immediately recognizable. The edges or bases of the vases are often embellished with 24-karat gold or silver leaf, which is “incorporated” into the glass or applied hot to the surface. The palette ranges from Venetian blue to ruby red and lagoon green.
