Pakistani Bukhara carpet from the 70s

Ø cm 280 h cm 190

Bukhara-type carpets are named after the city of the same name in Uzbekistan. This kind of carpet has a clear link with the tribal culture and style, as the colours, symbols and manufacturing technique are typical of the carpets produced in that area.

The ancient Bukhara carpet manufacture favors the use of the color red, while in later times different colors were used, such as the carpet on display. The pattern usually includes a frame that encloses repeated symbols, belonging to the tribal tradition and culture. The carpet is made of wool, used for warp and weft. The fleece has a medium thickness and good softness, given by the use of high quality fibres.
