Eugenio Mantegani (Milan, 1929 – Milan, 2005) was an Italian painter, known especially for his views of Milan, particularly views of the Duomo and the Navigli. His style is characterized by a strong impressionist imprint, with a quick and synthetic approach and a particular attention to light and atmosphere.
Living in Milan, Mantegani dedicated a large part of his artistic production to the representation of his city. His academic training at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera influenced his style, while steering it towards a more personal and impressionistic interpretation of the urban landscape.
