Gustavo Boldrini (1927-1987) was an Italian painter known for his expressive and lyrical works that often featured abstract landscapes, still lifes, and figures. His paintings are characterized by bold use of color, dynamic brushwork, and a sense of movement and energy.

Born in Venice in 1927, Boldrini studied at the Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts in his hometown. During this period he was influenced by the Venetian expressionist movement and the work of painters such as Gino Rossi and Virgilio Guidi.

Boldrini's early works were characterized by a dark, introspective tone, reflecting the somber mood of post-war Italy. However, in the 1950s, his style began to evolve towards a more optimistic and lyrical expressionism.
