The Versace for Rosenthal collaboration, launched in 1992 under the creative direction of Gianni Versace, represents the height of “luxury maximalism.” If Bulgari for Rosenthal embodies imperial restraint, Versace is an explosion of rock baroque, mythology, and pure color.

It is a fusion of the excellence of German porcelain with the rebellious, opulent aesthetic of the Milanese fashion house. Each piece is a manifesto of Versace’s visual codes: the Medusa, almost always placed at the center of plates and cups or used as the knob on teapots (often in relief or gold). La Greca, the geometric motif framing the edges, symbolizing continuity and classical roots. Baroque, with acanthus-leaf scrolls, exotic flowers, and “scarf” motifs covering the entire surface of the porcelain.
