The Bulgari for Rosenthal collaboration (launched in the 1990s and now discontinued) represents the perfect union of the boldness of Roman jewelry and the technical precision of German porcelain. The design transposes Bulgari’s jewelry language onto the table. Its distinctive elements include the use of classical and architectural motifs, such as Greek key patterns, Roman friezes, and the famous circular logo (“BVLGARI BVLGARI”). Extensive use of 22-karat pure gold, applied using a raised gilding technique that makes the decorations tactile, almost as if they were set with gemstones. A palette dominated by the contrast between the purest white of Rosenthal porcelain, deep black, and vibrant gold.
