Poliarte and Longobard are two separate entities that collaborated on the creation of lighting fixtures, particularly during the mid-20th century and probably until the 1980s. 

Poliarte was an Italian lighting and furniture manufacturer known for its innovative and high-quality designs.
Manufacturing was particularly active during the mid-20th century, creating Brutalist-style lighting fixtures.
Brutalism is an architectural and design movement known for its use of raw concrete, geometric shapes, and a bold, almost industrial aesthetic.

Longobard is a design studio, which designed Brutalist style lighting pieces for Poliarte.

The collections created together express the Brutalist style: geometric shapes, exposed materials such as metal and glass and a bold and sometimes asymmetrical aesthetic. The materials used are of high quality: brass, iron and Murano glass.
