The Minghetti Ceramics are a renowned producer of Italian artistic ceramics, with a history dating back to the 19th century. The manufactory was founded by Angelo Minghetti in 1850 in Bologna, an artist and sculptor, whose works ranged from figures and busts, often painted, to everyday objects.
His works were exhibited in important national exhibitions, such as the one in Turin in 1880 and the one in Rome in 1883.
After the death of Angelo Minghetti, the business passed to his sons Gennaro and Arturo.
In 1908, Aurelio, son of Gennaro, renamed the company "Ceramiche Artistiche Angelo Minghetti & Figli". The Minghetti manufacture is known for producing high-quality artistic ceramics, including sacred art objects, such as holy water fonts and small Madonnas, as well as common use items, such as vases and pouring jugs.
Many families, especially from Bologna, cherish the Minghetti ceramics.
