Meissen Porcelain was one of the first European examples of porcelain production, due to its manufacturing techniques.

The first type of product took inspiration from Chinese models and baroque silver figures. Subsequently, gold decorations and the colors of the products were introduced, the subject of which depicts scenes from the natural world, port life and oriental production. Over the years the style changed. From detailed figures and bright colours, we move on to classical forms and then to neoclassical forms, with pastel colours, inspired by mythological and allegorical subjects, thus losing vitality and the lively colors of 700; even the workmanship of the figures is less careful, because unlike the figurines of the first period, which were placed on tables, the subsequent products were designed to be placed in showcases.
