Lalique is a renowned French luxury glassware and crystal brand, recognized worldwide for its exquisite craftsmanship and artistry. Founded in 1888 by René Lalique, the company initially gained fame for its innovative Art Nouveau jewelry before establishing itself as a master of the art of glass and crystal.

The foundations of the brand lie in the artistic genius of René Lalique (1860–1945). He revolutionized both jewelry and glassmaking, moving away from excessively ornate styles to emphasize the beauty of the materials themselves, whether precious or otherwise. His creations were often inspired by nature (flora and fauna) and feminine forms. He was a key figure in both Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

Lalique is best known for its magnificent glass art and, since the mid-20th century, for its crystal creations (lead glass). Among its vases, many iconic models, such as the “Bacchantes” and “Champs-Élysées” vases, are highly sought after.
René Lalique’s collaboration with perfumer François Coty revolutionized the industry by creating beautiful and symbolic fragrance bottles, making perfumes more accessible.
Lalique pieces are characterized by a unique blend of transparent and satin finishes, often featuring intricate relief motifs. The brand’s artisans employ both traditional and industrial skills, and its factory is still located in Wingen-sur-Moder, Alsace, France, a region with a rich glassmaking tradition.
