Giampietro Maggi is an Italian artist born in Milan in 1934, known for his works that capture the soul of the city and its people. His painting, deeply connected to tradition yet simultaneously open to experimentation, places him among the protagonists of the Italian artistic scene of the late twentieth century.

Born and raised in Milan, Maggi has dedicated much of his artistic production to the representation of his city. His canvases are populated by glimpses of everyday life, by the faces of ordinary people, by characteristic corners of the city. Milan, with its contradictions, its energy, and its history, is the undisputed protagonist of his works.

Maggi's style is characterized by a bold and vigorous stroke, capable of immediately conveying atmospheres and emotions. His colors are warm and bright, and his compositions are often built on strong contrasts of light and shadow.

Maggi did not limit himself to painting, but also experimented with other expressive forms, such as sculpture and graphics. His artistic production is vast and varied, ranging from large-format works to small terracotta sculptures.

The work of Giampietro Maggi has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, receiving great success from the public and critics. The artist has received numerous awards, including the Ambrogino d'Oro from the Municipality of Milan.
