A glazed porcelain stoneware vase combines the strength and durability of stoneware with the beauty and aesthetic variety offered by the surface glaze.
Because stoneware is a ceramic material fired at very high temperatures (over 1200 °C), it acquires exceptional properties. It is almost completely non-porous, meaning it absorbs very little water. Water does not penetrate the structure, so there is no risk of the vase freezing and cracking in winter. Perfect for outdoor use. The glaze layer further seals the surface, making the vase highly resistant to stains (soil, limescale, fertilizer residue) and easy to clean. It is more robust than terracotta or standard ceramic.
