If Max Le Verrier (whom we have discussed) dominated the metalwork sector, Degué was one of the leading figures in lighting and glass objects between the two world wars.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFounded in 1926 in Compiègne and later relocated to Paris, the manufactory quickly became famous for producing art glass that perfectly embodied the modern spirit of the 1920s and 1930s. Unlike many of its contemporaries, who preferred transparent or opalescent glass, Degué often used vivid colors such as orange, blue, red, and yellow, blending them into the glass mass. Its pieces are renowned for their stylized motifs: geometric flowers, fountains, birds, and linear patterns typical of the period’s aesthetic.
