Ceramica Lavenia is a historic Italian ceramic company founded in 1856 in Laveno Mombello, Italy, located on the shores of Lake Maggiore. The company was known as Società Ceramica Italiana (Società Ceramica Italiana di Laveno or S.C.I.).

The company was known for its high-quality ceramics that took many different forms, including tableware, decorative objects, and tiles. Their success is largely due to the artistic direction of famous people such as Guido Andlovitz, who designed this geometric vase in the 1930s.

Here are some other distinctive features of Lavenia ceramics:

Hard-paste porcelain: Lavenia used a hard-paste porcelain known for its durability and strength.
Elaborate Decorations: Their pieces were often decorated with intricate designs, featuring floral motifs, pastoral scenes, or mythological figures.
Lavenia merged with the Richard-Ginori company in 1965. This allowed their creations to be exported internationally and to grace the tables of large cruise ships. However, the company eventually closed its doors.

Today Lavenia pieces are sought after by collectors and are considered fine examples of Italian ceramics. They can be found in museums, art galleries and online marketplaces.
