Luciano Minguzzi (Bologna, 24 May 1911 – Milan, 30 May 2004) was an Italian sculptor, medalist, engraver and painter.

Considered one of the greatest sculptors of the 20th century, Minguzzi is known for his bronze works, characterized by expressive forms and dramatic content. His sculpture has evolved over the years, moving from an initial realism to an increasingly accentuated expressionism.

Among his most famous works are the Doors of the Milan Cathedral (1950-1974): the five bronze doors of the Milan Cathedral, depicting biblical scenes and figures of saints.

Minguzzi has received numerous awards and recognitions throughout his career, including:

The Grand Prize for Sculpture at the Venice Biennale in 1950.
The Feltrinelli Prize in 1960.
The Balzan Prize for Visual Arts in 1989.

His works are exhibited in some of the most important museums in the world, including: The Gallery of Modern Art in Bologna, The Tate Modern in London, The Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Luciano Minguzzi was an artist of great talent and originality, who left an indelible mark on the history of 20th century sculpture.
