Bruno Ceccobelli is a highly esteemed Italian artist, both a painter and sculptor. He was born in 1952 in Montecastello di Vibio, Italy, but currently lives and works in Todi, Italy.
Ceccobelli is considered one of the six leading artists of the Nuova Scuola Romana, or Scuola di San Lorenzo, an artistic movement that emerged at the end of the 20th century and was influenced by the Arte Povera and Transavantgarde movements.
His work is known for the use of symbolism and a variety of materials. He often explores themes of memory, history and transformation. His paintings often feature layered and textured surfaces, while his sculptures can be constructed from unconventional materials.
