Vienna porcelain, also known as "white gold", boasts a rich and fascinating history dating back to 1718. Born from the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory of Vienna (Kaiserlich privilegierte Porcellain Fabrique), this fine production has gained worldwide fame for its refinement , its impeccable quality and its timeless beauty.

The foundation of the Imperial Porcelain Manufactory in Vienna is due to the Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI, eager to rival the already renowned Meissen manufactories in Germany. In 1718, with the help of experts from Meissen, the Viennese factory opened its doors, giving rise to an era of splendor for Austrian porcelain.

Vienna porcelain is distinguished by some peculiar characteristics that have made it famous throughout the world:

Pure White Paste: The base paste of Vienna porcelain is characterized by high purity and whiteness, giving it a bright and refined appearance.

Elaborate decorations: Viennese porcelain is renowned for its elaborate and detailed decorations. Floral motifs, mythological scenes, gilding and hand paintings embellish each piece, making it a unique work of art.

Flawless Glaze: The glaze of Vienna porcelain is smooth, lustrous and durable, giving surfaces an unparalleled shine.

Elegant shapes: The shapes of Viennese porcelain are classic and elegant, often inspired by baroque and rococo models. Cups, plates, vases and figurines take on harmonious lines and balanced proportions.
